US festival to feature ‘Selfie with Democracy’

Iran’s feature ‘Selfie with Democracy’ has been set to take part at the 2020 edition of the Iranian Film Festival (IFF) - San Francisco in the US.

Ali Atshani’s film is about the war veterans and martyrs, who sacrificed their lives during the 1980-1988 Iraq-Iran war.

‘Selfie with Democracy’ is a sequel to ‘Democracy in Broad Daylight’.

The movie is starring Pejman Bazeghi, Poulad Kimiaee, Sima Tirandaz, and Atila Pesyani.

The IFF showcases independent feature and short films made by or about Iranians from around the world.

It is open to all genres; fiction, short, animation and documentary, among others.

Launched in 2008, the IFF is the first independent Iranian film festival outside of Iran.

The upcoming edition of the event is scheduled for September 19-20, 2020.
